 WEEK 29: TALKING ABOUT OURSELVES AND CURRENT ACTIVITIES 

PROPÓSITO:

To improve students speaking, reading & writing comprehension abilities (Mejorar las capacidades de comprensión oral, lectora y producción de textos).

COMPETENCIA: Students can listen, read, and understand written texts using English as a foreign language. (Escuchan, leen y comprenden textos orales y escritos en inglés como lengua extranjera)

CAPACIDAD:

1.Students manage vocabulary given in English to talk about our personal activities. (Comprenden y manejan el vocabulario dado y se expresan acerca de sus propias actividades).

2.Students recognize main ideas and make explanations about by basic structures given assertively. (Reconocen ideas principales y comentan sobre ellas o responden preguntas de manera asertiva).

3.Students recognize and use simple present tense and Simple past, (regular and irregular verb forms) with accuracy. Los estudiantes reconocen y usan formas irregulares de los verbos en pasado con un mínimo de error. Comparan entre las acciones del presente y el pasado.

ENOLA LIVES IN MONTEVIDEO AND LIKES CHESS



Hi, I am Enola Dominguez. I'm from Montevideo, Uruguay. I am 17 years old. I was born in 2003. Currently, I live with my parents and siblings in a small house in the center of the city. 

I love playing chess and ping-pong. We have a ping-pong table on the third floor at home. I like reading drama and detective’s short stories. I used to go to the cinema every weekend, now I’m stuck at home because of a health emergency at the present time. I’m a senior student in high school. My favorite class is French. I‘m no good at Math but I do my best always.

My elder brother, Ralph is a genius. He likes to build small robots and machines. He has already won a prize in his University with his machine that can open cans in one step. He is 23. He is always busy doing homework or coordinating with his classmates. Studying Engineering is very demanding.

My younger sister, Margarita likes dancing ballet. She is very delicate and talented at dancing. She started when she was 3 years old. Now she is 7 and has ballet practices three times a week after classes on the internet.

   Our father is a laboratory technician. He works in the  General Hospital of Montevideo. Our mother is a journalist. She works in a local newspaper. They like cooking together after work. Sometimes, my dad makes breakfast before going to the hospital very early in the morning. Frequently, my mom does it. other times I help making breakfast or cooking lunch before I start classes. We do all the housework on Saturdays, except for the laundry. The laundry is normally done on Fridays. Mum and dad do the shopping on Tuesdays.
